Moving...on.

In the past 10 days, I have moved from living with my in-laws, to moving to Johnston, to seeing my daughter turn 14 with now a moving motor license and then celebrating a 17th anniversary! It has been quite a "moving" experience! and sometimes I can't wrap my head around these fast and furious life-changers. It's almost been too much that I just want to shut down. But moving...on is an important part of life. and so is positively dealing with it. I registered the kids for school which required a crazy amount of paperwork, got library cards from local library-another load of paperwork and then scheduled invisible fencing, irrigation, painters, Kate's classes, a vacation, boarding for the dog, and countless other items all in the past couple of days. What I'm trying to remember through all of this is that time with family and friends is so very important! Here's to moving and to moving on-let's make it a great path to follow!

Great Days...

I read a quote last week that has been on my mind..."Not all days are great, but something great happens each day." This little quote has influenced me. I think too often people expect every day to be magical or perfect or just damn great. I think it's okay to think positively each day, but I believe the kind of thinking described above can also get us into trouble. When the day isn't "great," or near perfect then somehow we think we missed something or we have "failed" in that day. So I'm trying to write great things that happened in my day even though it might not be classified as a great day. On Monday, July 21, I had my favorite chai tea from Smokey Row and cleaned out my purse! I also got to meet my new boss and have a chat with her. And I saw Tom Forsgren, and Susan Stroope at work who were both celebrating their birthdays with GYI students and then I had a quick book chat with Jean Ellerhoff. Maybe I wouldn't classify it as a "great day," but great things did happen! :)

Can you hear me now?

I thought I would restart this photo blog and see how it goes. I enjoyed it so much before and got "too busy." I turned 38 a week ago and moved out of my lovely house in Carlisle; I thought it was time for a positive lifestyle change and some brightness in my life and this starter picture fits perfectly!
